An all-new Race Dueling water slide is to open at Aquatica in Texas on March 5. This new pipeline ride will be the first of its kind in San Antonio.
The attraction features slide-by-slide flumes and low walls to ensure racers have full view of who they are competing with as they race down the slide.
The slide clings to a 51 ft. tower. Guests board a two-person raft and race through 565 ft. of slides. They are encouraged to challenge each other as they speed down turns, loops and spins, before blasting out into a splashdown.
Lise Collins, vice president of Aquatica, commented on the new attraction: “We are excited to open Riptide Race at Aquatica in San Antonio.
“We know our guests are constantly seeking new adventures at our parks and we are always on the hunt to provide them with something unique and exciting to enhance their experience. We think Riptide Race will give park-goers even more reason to love Aquatica and keep coming back for more.”
