Ripley's Aquarium of Canada opened on October 16, offering marine lovers the chance to get up close and personal with an array of sea creatures.

The much-anticipated tourist attraction was scheduled to open last June, but was delayed due to development hurdles.

The aquarium, located in downtown Toronto near the CN Tower, features 50 exhibits and more than 100 interactive displays, where guests will be invited to touch sting rays, sharks and other animals.

As the largest indoor aquarium in Canada, the 12,500sq.m facility is home to 15,000 marine animals.
