On October 1, 2020, American Dream indoor family entertainment centre near New York reopened. The site’s Sea Life Aquarium and Legoland Discovery Centre won’t however be launched until spring 2021.

The two entertainment projects were due to open in spring 2020 but were postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Sea Life Aquarium will extend over 25,000 sq. ft. and hold 250,000 gallons of water. The site will be home to more than 3,000 creatures with up to 100 different species of fish and invertebrates from around the world.

The Legoland Discovery Centre will feature an indoor playground dedicated to build and play zones. Highlights include a Lego-themed train ride known as the Imagination Express, a MINILAND and a 4D cinema that plays Lego short films.

American Dream has begun to reopen certain features, including the DreamWorks Waterpark, Nickelodeon Universe and The Rink.

Mark Ghermezian, co-CEO at American Dream, commented: “We know that our community has been waiting to return, but it was important to use that we took the proper time and precautions needed to welcome guests back in the safest possible manner.”
