On April 17-21, US operator SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment offered free one-day admissions to any UK, Irish or Continental European tourists stranded in Florida due to the interruption in international air travel caused by Icelandic volcanic ash.

SeaWorld Orlando, Aquatica waterpark and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay partnered with travel reservation company ReserveDirect to offer an online booking and packaging solution. In a well-timed display of altruism to the thousands of tourists that were stranded due to the eruption of Eyjafjallajokull, visitors were asked to simply show a valid airline ticket and identification.
The huge ash cloud caused by the eruption on April 14 caused substantial disruption to air traffic across Europe. Yet while some individuals still remain stranded around the world as carriers strive to clear passenger backlogs, most European airports have now re-opened and almost all scheduled flights are expected to have resumed by tomorrow (April 22).
