A new $16 million waterpark has opened in Orlando, Florida. Located just minutes from Walt Disney World, Surfari Water Park debuted on March 1 as part of The Grove Resort & Spa Orlando.

A key feature of the new 7-acre facility is a dual FlowRider installation, providing a year-round surfing experience adjustable to all skill levels. Also on offer are 2-storey water slides, a kids’ area with a splash pad and zero entry pool, and winding lazy river. As from late April, the Longboard restaurant will provide alfresco dining opportunities.

The wider 106-acre Grove Resort & Spa, which opened last year, is a vacation home resort located on Lake Austin. Described as “a sanctuary from the boisterous pace of the outside world, neighboring theme parks and entertainment centers” it offers 878 fully furnished residential-style suites and extensive amenities.

“We are extremely pleased to be adding the Surfari Water Park to our long list of amenities at The Grove Resort & Spa,” says general manager Bill Lee. “Guests have so much to experience on property they never have to leave.”
