The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) has moved their TEA Summit and Thea Awards Gala to the summer in response to the ongoing coronavirus situation. The events were originally scheduled for three days in April at the Disneyland Resort in California but will now be take place on July 9-11.

TEA have rescheduled with the full support of Disneyland, with both entities agreeing that the move is in the best interests of TEA members, event participants and the industry on the whole.

In a message to TEA members, the TEA President Michael Blau and CEO Jennie Nevin, said: “Postponing the TEA Summit and Thea Awards Gala will help ensure that it remains a great and grand occasion to learn, network and celebrate – to honour our best and brightest – and that our global industry can attend in full force.”

They also confirmed that the content and structure of the events will remain the same. There will also be no venue change with the rescheduled events taking place at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, CA.

The TEA Summit is a vital business networking gathering, bringing the international leisure attractions community together to celebrate and learn about up and coming projects, events, technologies, markets and trends. The annual TEA Thea Awards Gala began back in 1994 as a way to recognise achievement, talent and personal excellence within the themed entertainment industry.
