The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), the international membership association for the creators of attraction sites and experiences, has announced its TEA Masters honourees for 2020.

The TEA Masters program celebrates the best individuals in the global visitor attractions industry. The initiative is aimed at developing awareness of the range of creative specialties and disciplines that collaborate to create innovative guest experiences in themed entertainment.

This year’s TEA Masters include Linda McBride Alcorn, a specialist in control engineering for more than 40 years; Ray Braun, who has more than 40 years’ experience in economic feasibility; Tracy Eck, an art direction, design and show quality expert for more than 30 years; Roberta Perry, with 35 years’ expertise in business development and public relations;  Jim Scheidel, an architect for over 40 years; Bonnie Sinclair, a customer designer for three decades, and Lanny Smoot, who has been involved in theatrical technology for more than 40 years.

John Lindsay of nFusion, who is a TEA Masters Committee Chair and is himself a TEA Master, commented on the diversity of this year’s TEA Masters: “Each of the 2020 TEA Masters represents a different discipline and a significant number of years practicing their craft. Most have been significantly involved with the TEA at some point in their careers and will be fantastic ambassadors for the association, the next generation and inspirational to other professionals within themed entertainment.”

The 2020 Tea Masters will be officially honoured in a free online event being held on December 9, 2020. The show will feature an educational discussion with the TEA Masters panellists. Registration details for the event will be posted here.
