Asian telecommunications group, Line, has opened a new retail store in Bangkok, and the company is now planning to expand to a three-storey amusement complex with virtual reality rides.

Line stores already exist in Japan, South Korea, China and Taiwan, but the Thai location will be the first with an indoor park.

According to local reports, Kampanart Wonghongkul, the project’s chief executive, said he hopes the $14.7 million theme park will attract more than 12 million visitors a year.

Since its launch in 2011, Japan-based, Korean-owned Line has amassed more 200 million users worldwide.
