The media-based attractions specialist Triotech is launching a new adventure for its VR Maze attraction. Developed by Ubisoft, the free-roaming virtual reality experience is called Assassin’s Creed: The Temple of Anubis.

Set in ancient Egypt as reimagined in the video game Assassin’s Creed Origins, players embody the hero, Bayek, as they explore a mysterious temple, wielding a virtual bow and arrow to fight against enemies.

Because walls and obstacles of the digital world can be touched in the real world, players experience full immersion as they dodge enemies’ arrows, walk across shattered wooden planks.

“We are really excited to partner with Ubisoft on the well-known franchise Assassin’s Creed,” says Triotech founder and CEO, Ernest Yale. “Already more than 100 000 people have experienced our VR Maze all over the world, and this next chapter will definitely widen its appeal”.

Requiring a space of just 120 square feet, Triotech claims the VR Maze has a wide appeal for FECs and amusement parks as the digital content can easily be switched by clicking one button. Accordingly, it is offering a further two experiences with Ubisoft, Virtual Rabbids: The Big Maze and Minotaur.

Triotech’s products are enjoyed by an estimated 22 million people a year in 60 countries. The Canadian company now has 350 products in operation around the world. Its star product remains the XD Dark Ride interactive theatre (as pictured below). The 180th unit opened recently at Safari Xtreme park at Malecon 2000 in Ecuador, Triotech’s first installation in this South American country.

Triotech will be exhibiting at Euro Attractions Show in Amsterdam from September 25 to 27 on booth 1-611.
