Triotech have reached a century of attractions with its latest installation located in Lorient, France at La Cité de la Voile Éric Tabarly.

It offers an immersive experience to visitors standing onto pneumatic platforms with special effects discovering the sensations of a sailing race in the middle of the ocean.

“We have a strong track record in edutainment for museums, aquariums and tourist attractions. We knew our technology would transport visitors into the experience with this stand-up platform, giving them the sensation they’re standing up on a sailboat offshore in a storm” reported Christophe Lucchini, Managing Director of Triotech’s CL Corp Division.

Triotech describe their latest experience as ‘Part dynamic simulator, part flying theatre, featuring platforms of two people, with two dedicated positions for wheelchairs. Guests remain standing which greatly enhances the motion and immersion as they embark on a whirlwind tour with twists and turns aboard a Vendée Globe sailboat.’

Special effects have been added to enhance the immersion of the Stand-up Theater such as scents, blast, leg ticklers, water, and fresh wind.

“In 2021, La Cité de la Voile Eric Tabarly and Lorient Agglomeration entrusted Triotech CL Corp Division with the development of the dynamic theatre of La Cité de la Voile in Lorient, offering visitors a virtual immersive experience on board an offshore racing boat. Throughout this project, we appreciated the constructive spirit, the responsiveness, and the skills of the teams. This collaboration results in an attraction with innovative technology and easy maintenance. The visitors’ feedback is very encouraging and we are delighted with this choice,” stated Jean-Marc Beaumier, Director at La cite de la Voile Éric Tabarly.

Inaugurated in 2008 in the heart of the village of businesses linked to boating and the international offshore racing center of Lorient, the Cité de la Voile Éric Tabarly has become the emblem of the ‘Sailing Valley’.
