The creative visionaries behind Nintendo are working together with Universal Parks and Resorts to bring the Japanese video game company’s iconic worlds and characters to life.

Under the terms of a newly-signed global partnership, expansive, immersive and interactive Nintendo-themed areas will soon be coming to Universal Studios Japan, Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood.

According to the companies, the “highly themed and authentic environments” will be filled with multiple attractions, shops and restaurants.

Nintendo owns many popular video game brands, including Mario, Donkey Kong, Metroid, Zelda and Pokémon.

“Planning and creative work on these areas is already underway, and each Universal theme park will announce details of its specific Nintendo area,” read a joint statement from the two companies.

“The first such announcement will come soon.”
