WhiteWater West Industries, the Canada-based waterpark and attractions supplier, is celebrating its 100th AquaLaunch build.

The innovative launch capsule dials up the thrill factor in numerous WhiteWater waterslides, sending riders into jaw-dropping waterslides such as the AquaDrop, the Flatline Loop and the ever-popular AquaLoop with installations in over 70 countries worldwide.

WhiteWater first started manufacturing AquaLaunches in 2009, and the current launch has evolved substantially over the past five years.

"We have worked hard over the years upgrading the quality and durability of the launch parts," said Mike Genovese, operations manager of electrical and mechanical assembly for the company.

Further innovations have included updating the fibreglass trapdoor to a clear trapdoor that is free swinging to reduce noise and eliminates the need for expensive shock absorbers.

The AquaLaunch has also become more automated with the addition of a push button operated door replacing the old, manually operated one.

Due to the complexity and the specialized nature of the AquaLaunch, all manufacturing is kept locally, in British Columbia, to allow for close monitoring and quick response from engineers and managers in the event that issues arise during the production process.

According to WhiteWater, 2015 will be a busy year for the AquaLaunch team, as the orders have been pouring in for projects all over the world.
