WhiteWater, supplier of the world’s leading waterparks with innovative and exciting water slides and other attractions, has been recognised as one of the Best Managed Companies for 2019 in Canada.

The announcement was made in a leading Canada business awards program, which distinguishes notable achievements in private Canadian-owned companies with revenues over $15 million.

One consistent feature all companies put forward for the awards share, according to Deloitte which presents the awards, is their ability to manage finances effectively, adapt to changing market conditions and keep reaching for more.

WhiteWater was founded in 1980 with a clear objective – to create destinations where families can come together and make fond, lasting memories. In the ensuing years, Geoff Chutter, WhiteWater’s CEO and President, developed the company into a global leader in the manufacture of waterpark attractions and an innovative guest engagement platform known as Vantage.

The company has offices around the world in Vancouver, Barcelona, Shanghai, Dubai and Denver and employs almost 600 employees.

Chutter spoke about the accolade, commentating:

“We are incredibly humbled to be included in this prestigious list along with some of Canada’s best-known companies. We’ve worked relentlessly over the years to constantly better ourselves in every regard—not only as an innovative player in the water park industry, but also as an employer.

“We believe that the success of every company is a reflection of the cohesiveness of all its parts, and we’re always striving to ensure that all the ‘cogs in our wheel’ are working in harmony so that we can continue to help our clients create fun, unforgettable memories for all their guests.

“We are looking forward to working even harder and setting more goals for the company in the future, and we would like to thank Deloitte for honouring us with this prestigious award,” Chutter concluded.
