At a signing ceremony Asian Attractions Show in Shanghai, Canada’s WhiteWater West Industries and Thailand’s Vana Nava Company formed a new joint venture company, WhiteWater West Southeast Asia Company (WW SEA).

As the first joint venture of its kind in the international waterpark industry, WW SEA offers a fully integrated approach to the design, building and operation of future waterparks across Asia.

“This new venture represents another chapter in our mission to stay at the forefront of innovation, and provide the industry with not only top quality products, but also a turnkey solution, professional expertise and a suite of services geared toward the success of our clients’ business initiatives,” said Paul Chutter, chief business development officer of WhiteWater West Industries.

With more than 5,000 projects completed around the world, WhiteWater is an internationally renowned developer of waterpark attractions and slides.

Vana Nava is one of the latest additions to Thailand’s Proud Real Estate’s (PRE) portfolio. As a visionary developer that aims to ‘Transcend the Expected’, PRE launched Vana Nava Hua Hin, Asia’s first ‘water jungle’ in December 2014,

Commenting on the joint venture, Proudputh Liptapanlop, executive director of Vana Nava, said: “We aim to create dynamic mixed use leisure destinations and unique family entertainment projects that will both delight and enrich the lives of people of all ages, and contribute to local communities across ASEAN.”

Waterpark industry veteran, Chris Perry, has been appointed CEO of the newly formed WW SEA.
