On March 12, Tim Mow, general manager of Yas Waterworld in Abu Dhabi, greeted professionals from the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) during their visit to the waterpark.

Visiting the UAE for the IAAPA Leadership Conference 2015, the 200 attendees received a taste of Middle Eastern culture and heritage as they met Hamlook, the iconic camel from the park's Legend of the Lost Pearl attraction, and Shaheen, the waterpark's in-house falcon.

The delegates were served authentic Arabic coffee and dates and witnessed a performance by traditional Ayala dancers before embarking on a tour of the park.

Providing an in-depth walkthrough of Yas Waterworlds's 45 rides, slides and attractions, the hosts set the scene for the park's Emirati-inspired 2015, as the resort gears up to launch a new campaign, Legendary Adventures, which will further bring to life the waterpark's traditional tale.

Now in its second year of operations, Yas Waterworld has been awarded 13 industry awards and accolades, including being awarded the 2014 Certificate of Excellence as well as the Travellers' Choice Award by TripAdvisor, the world's largest travel site.
