Italian roller coaster giant Zamperla is on track to install a landmark 40 new rides in the Asia-Pacific region throughout 2010.

"We are currently enjoying increasing success in the Far East where clients old and new continue to appreciate the quality and innovation of our product range, as proven by a wide variety of recent installations," the company said.

In China, Zamperla has been working closely with major operator OCT Tourism to develop several new rides, including Surf’s Up, Sky Chaser, Hawk 48 and Power Surge. In Shenzhen Happy Valley, meanwhile, the group has been working to install a Disk’O Coaster, a Twister Coaster 420, a Power Surge and a monorail ride.

The group is also working closely with operators in the developing market of Indonesia, and recently installed 10 rides at Trans Kalla Makassar, which opened in September 2009. Trans Studio Banung is currently being developed in the country, and the new resort will include six rides from the Italian company.

"As well as providing products for new projects in the Far East, Zamperla is also helping to revive an existing park which is currently going through a phase of redevelopment," the group added.
