The man responsible for overseeing Disney’s worldwide theme park operations will be guest speaker at the GM and Owners’ Breakfast during November’s IAAPA Attractions Expo in Orlando.

Bob Chapek, chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products, will deliver the keynote address during the senior-level attractions industry networking event. The will take place at the Orlando Convention Center (pictured) on Wednesday, November 14.

Chapek oversees the global hub where Disney’s stories, characters and franchises come to life. Previously chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, he assumed leadership of the enlarged segment when it was created in March of this year. As well as its Disney’s six global theme park resorts, it includes a cruise line, a vacation ownership programme and guided family adventure business.

Chapek boasts more than 25 years’ executive experience with Disney, in both its consumer products and theme park divisions. Since he took up leadership of the latter in 2016, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts has seen the largest investment and expansion in its 60-year history.

IAAPA Attraction Expo, the largest international conference and trade show for the global theme park and attractions industry will take place from November 12 to 16. In addition to Chapek’s keynote address, the IAAPA Young Professional of the Year Award and IAAPA Service Awards will be presented during the GM and Owners’ Breakfast.
