Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom’s new ride Iron Menace will be the first-ever dive roller coaster in the area.

Iron Menace is set to open in 2024, the park’s newest roller coaster since Hydra opened in 2005 and its eighth coaster at the park.

The dive roller coaster “is one of the largest capital investments in park history,” said Jessica Naderman, vice president and general manager of Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom.
Iron Menace’s theming stems from the area’s rich industrial roots.

Riders commence their journey in the remains of an old steel mill before climbing 160ft and ultimately confront a beyond-vertical first drop before diving into the first of four inversions.

After an initial drop, the train will pull up sharply and flip 180 degrees in an Immelmann inversion.

Iron Menace will race around at up to 64mph and features a novel first-ever tilted loop on a dive coaster.
