FC Barcelona football team and PortAventura World are to collaborate to create a new entertainment project.

The centrepiece of the project will be the creation of Espai Barça in Spotify Camp Nou stadium, which is slated to open in November 2024.

The entertainment venue will consist of themed experiences consisting of a new museum and charter the history and heritage of FC Barcelona and its direct relationship with the Catalan community.

It is estimated that the indoor entertainment venue will cover between 500 and 2,000 m2 filled with varying themed attractions, catering services and merchandising outlets.

Furthermore, the club wants to create an amusement park style area covering seven hectares catering for attractions, restaurants, shops, museums and shows.

Juli Guiu, Vice President of the FC Barcelona Marketing Area, confirmed: “This partnership with PortAventura World is part of FC Barcelona’s strategic project to explore new ways of generating resources within the entertainment industry.”

Meanwhile, Arturo Mas-Sardá, President of PortAventura World’s administrative board, said the entertainment venue would “provide visitors with unforgettable experiences that combine fun and passion for sport.”
