Hotel operator Hilton Worldwide has announced plans to debut the first Home2 Suites in Latin America.

The 97-suite Home2 development will be located in Queretaro, close to the Parque Bicentenario theme park, and is scheduled for an end-of-year opening.

Home2 Suites Queretaro is now accepting reservations for arrivals as of December 7, 2013, with introductory rates starting from US$76 per night.

Danny Hughes, senior vice president of the Caribbean, Mexico and Latin America for Hilton Worldwide said: "We are excited to bring another of Hilton Worldwide's 10 market-leading brands to Mexico.

"The upcoming opening of Home2 Suites by Hilton Queretaro will introduce our award-winning mid-tier, all-suite hotel brand in Latin America.

Bill Duncan, global head of Home2 Suites by Hilton, said: "Queretaro's mix of businesses and leisure attractions make the city an ideal location for the first Home2 Suites in Mexico."

Located in Juriquilla, a trendy residential and commercial neighbourhood in Queretaro approximately 20 minutes from the international airport, the new Home2 Suites by Hilton Queretaro will provide guests with nearby nightlife and an array of dining options.

In addition to its proximity to Parque Bicentenario, the hotel's location offers easy access to a number of attractions including Mexico's largest mall and the Historic Monuments Zone of Queretaro – a well preserved Spanish colonial town declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
