According to preliminary data, 38 new cultural tourism projects commenced in August. The leading regions in terms of project starts were Guangdong, Hubei, and Zhejiang. Of these projects, ten had investment amounts exceeding RMB 1 billion. Notably, the Hengshan Mirage Tourism and Recreation Industrial Park project has an investment of RMB 10 billion, while the Tianmu Lake Animal Kingdom Cultural Tourism Complex is expected to invest RMB 3.55 billion. The Hangzhou Tonglu Xiaoyuanxi Landscape Sports Park is set to invest RMB 3.2 billion.

Wuyi Sen-Quan-Yuan Cultural Tourism and Recreation Complex (Phase I) Project

The project spans approximately 400 acres and is based on the “forest hot springs” concept. Starting with the Wuyi Hot Spring Tourism Resort, it leverages Wuyi’s natural landscape resources, focusing on hot springs, scenic landscapes, and integrating local culture, intangible heritage, and Guochao culture. The development features diversified cultural and tourism products, including the introduction of Huanglong Hotel, a five-star brand from Hangzhou Business Tourism Group. The complex aims to create a large-scale destination combining hot springs, culture, tourism, recreation, leisure, and family entertainment.
Tian Mu Hot Spring Hotel Upgrade Project

Investment Amount: RMB 141 million
Investor: Kyungsan City Jingtou Resort Hotel Co.
Covering about 76 acres, this project involves constructing a new spa pavilion, renovating a seven-story family hotel, and building supporting infrastructure such as roads and green spaces. The upgrade includes new guest room and kitchen equipment, children’s amusement facilities, and a centralized hot water system.
Hefei “North Fantasy City” Art Centre Project

Located in central Hefei, the project covers around 1,380 acres, transforming the old Conch Cement Factory into the “North Fantasy City” Art Centre. The development includes three major areas and five key sections, focusing on art and cultural experiences.
Guangdong National Defence Education Base

Spanning approximately 2,000 acres, the base will primarily serve military training for college students while expanding into military studies, geological sciences, and other functions. Zhanjiang Bay Cultural Tourism Infrastructure and Supporting Project

This project includes the decommissioning and repurposing of air, sea, and land equipment, park facilities construction, and other related projects. It will feature decommissioned Kilo-class submarines and “Zhanjiang” warships as key attractions, integrating high-tech elements and green technology into a military-themed coastal tourism project.
Xinjiang Mangrove International Ski Resort Project

The resort will offer skiing, leisure, holiday, and entertainment facilities across Areas A and B, covering 3,100 acres. It will include a snow field, hotel, snow equipment hall, reception hall, and other amenities. The first phase is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
Tianmu Lake Animal Kingdom Cultural Tourism Complex Project

Yaozhi River Yao Shen Tianchi Cultural Tourism Project

Hangzhou Tonglu Xiaoyuanxi Landscape Sports Park

It will include a water park, Tree House Hotel, Infinity Pool, Mining Valley Flowerland, and Phantom Forest, aiming to become a national-level landscape sports park with unique local characteristics.
Zhonggong Hetai-Taibai Mountain Cuiwei Project

Analysis of the Mountain Scenic Area Passenger Ropeway Project

The project will build two new reciprocating ropeways totaling about 3.6 kilometers at the north and east gates of Analytical City Mountain Scenic Spot, connecting alpine meadows, Danxia scenery, and Roach Rock formations. Pak Kwong Wan Agrotourism and Recreation Project

Hengshan Mirage Tourism and Recreation Industrial Park Project

Huangshi Zhongdu Cultural Tourism Complex Project

Ho Ho Sai Lane Phase I Project

Makigawa Comic Life Phase II Project
