O’Gliss Park, a premier outdoor water park in the Vendée region of France, has announced an exciting new addition for the upcoming season: the “Stingray,” set to be Europe’s largest waterslide. This world-exclusive attraction officially opened on June 22, 2024, promising a unique and immersive water park experience for all visitors.
Highlights of the “Stingray” Waterslide
Immersive Design: The “Stingray” features four distinct slides, each providing a unique sliding experience. Riders will navigate the thrilling descents in two-person rafts, experiencing the exhilaration of centrifugal forces as they whirl around the wings of the Stingray.
Height and Visibility: At a towering height of 28 meters, the Stingray ensures that riders won’t miss any of the action, allowing them to watch friends and family as they descend and making it a ride worth repeating.
High Capacity: The innovative four-lane tube slide includes two towers, allowing up to eight people (in four two-person rafts) to launch simultaneously, offering a high throughput of 720 riders per hour.
Varied Experience: Each lane culminates in a bowl element, but the path through the bowl varies for each track with a speed peaks at 50km/h providing a different experience on every ride.
Collaboration with Polin Waterparks
The “Stingray” slide model, first introduced in 2021 by Turkish manufacturer Polin Waterparks, is a testament to the ongoing collaboration between O’Gliss Park and leading water ride designers. This partnership aims to continually innovate and enhance the guest experience at the park.
