Jora Vision, ETF Ride Systems, and Alterface Team Up for Six Flags Qiddiya City’s Unique Attraction
The announcement of Six Flags Qiddiya City has captivated theme park enthusiasts worldwide. Nestled near the Tuwaiq Mountains, this innovative park promises record-breaking attractions, including the world’s tallest, fastest, and longest coaster, Falcons Flight. However, Six Flags Qiddiya City is not solely for thrill-seekers. The Enchanted Greenhouse, a collaborative creation by Jora Vision, ETF Ride Systems, and Alterface, is set to redefine interactive dark rides.
An Oasis in Twilight Gardens
The Enchanted Greenhouse, situated in the “Twilight Gardens” zone, invites guests to explore a long-lost greenhouse filled with secrets. Visitors will uncover the mysteries of the elusive warden ‘Farasha’ (the butterfly) and the hidden inhabitants through innovative interactive experiences. This family-friendly attraction offers a magical oasis where guests interact with their surroundings, enhancing the journey with teamwork and discovery.
A New Take on Interactivity
This ride introduces a fresh perspective on interactive dark rides. Rather than a traditional shooting gallery, The Enchanted Greenhouse emphasizes collaborative gameplay. Guests influence scenes by altering colors, behaviors, and illuminating creatures, transforming the experience into a cooperative adventure rather than a competitive game.
A Powerhouse Consortium
Jora Vision, Alterface, and ETF Ride Systems bring unparalleled expertise to this project. Their previous collaborations on award-winning rides like Bazyliszek (Legendia Poland) and Popcorn Revenge (Walibi Belgium) set a high standard. This synergy ensures that every ride element aligns perfectly with Six Flags Qiddiya City’s vision. The meticulous design process included comprehensive 3D studies, extensive storyboards, and numerous illustrations, creating a cohesive and immersive experience.
A Captivating Storyline
Jora Vision crafted the ride’s concept and storyline, enriched by animatronics, multimedia projectors, and groundbreaking effects. The narrative draws from local culture and regional tales, delivering a positive message of love and growth. This immersive décor, adorned with lifelike plants, offers a magical journey through a fantastical biosphere.
Cutting-Edge Vehicles
ETF Ride Systems’ autonomous trackless Multi Mover vehicles enhance the experience. With custom-themed bodies and animated elements, these vehicles seat six guests, providing unobstructed views. The 160-meter-long course utilizes trackless technology for unique movements and effects, coupled with a non-linear loading station to reduce queue times.
Seamless Interactivity
Alterface’s expertise in interactive technology ensures a seamless blend of media content, physical props, and projections. This collaboration harmonizes visual tricks, media, music, and lighting, immersing guests in a truly magical experience.
Building from Scratch
Six Flags Qiddiya City, the first Six Flags park built from the ground up outside North America, aims to be a global destination. Located 40 minutes from Riyadh, it combines entertainment, sports, and culture. The park is set to open in 2025, with ongoing construction progressing steadily.
