A classic ride at Hersheypark has ridden its last ride.
The Whip has been permanently removed in readiness for the 2023 season.
The Whip is a traditional slapdash ride popular in many amusement parks during the last century.
It was originally purchased in 1937, and then removed in 1976, before returning to Hersheypark in 1997 where it has given riders further joy for 25 years.
The planned upgrades seem to be in correlation with Hersheypark’s showpiece unveiling of the reconstructed Wildcat’s Revenge schedule for this upcoming season.
