An amusement park in Norway is adding a Disk’o Coaster to its collection of attractions.
Kongeparken has become the first park in the country to operate the ride, which has been manufactured by the Italian company Zamperla.
Its design is inspired by Flemish designer Eric Daman, the chief designer of the German Phantasialand. He passed away in April last year and Illustrator Vincent Keuchen was brought in for the new project.
“A major landslide has occurred in the mountains,” Kongeparken said. “Guests enter a mine full of unstable stones, where they sit on a stone that has fallen on the mine rail.”
The disk will have a capacity for 24 riders and cost £2.5m to build. The disk will travel at up to 44mph.
