Camelback Mountain Resort in Tannersville, Pennsylvania, has been sold and the new owners are planning to develop an indoor waterpark at the ski resort.

Real estate investment company EPR Properties acquired Camelback from Spirit Realty Capital for more than US$69m in October, but the resort will continue to be operated by local businessman Art Berry and a partner.

"It's business as usual, except we are building a 450-room hotel and a 120,000sq.ft indoor waterpark, making Camelback Mountain Resort the most interactive resort in the country," Berry told local press.
