In May 2023, the largest play castle in the Netherlands will open.
The Limburg recreation park BillyBird Park Drakenrijk is taking an important step towards becoming a fully-fledged theme park. The park will open a huge play castle with a medieval theme. BillyBird designed a 15-meter-high fortress on top of a hill. The eye-catcher will be a huge dragon on one of the towers.
it will be the largest play castle in the Netherlands. There will be “several slides and rooms”. What exactly there will be to do in the impressive castle will be announced later. Preparatory work already started last summer.
Drakenrijk is located in the village of Reuver, part of the municipality of Beesel. The attraction opened ten years ago as a beach pool with a cafeteria. Several attractions have been added over the years, including a staircase monorail and a water playground with floating bouncy castles.
