This Halloween, guests are invited to immerse themselves in a chilling mystery at Russell-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum’s Halloween soiree.
THE EVIL ENGAGEMENT is an entertaining mystery game, allowing guests to explore the expansive Victorian villa and find an array of characters who are as flamboyant as they are suspicious.
The setting is Paltrygeist Manor, where Miss Priscilla Paltrygeist is to be married to Mr Cyril Keeler … her fourth groom so far. There are fears and doubts, as the last three grooms perished under mysterious circumstances. Will the marriage actually occur? Is murder afoot? Are there really ghosts involved, as the rumours would have it? Talk to the party guests, inspect the memorials of the former grooms, listen out for spirits, and work out the clues before it’s too late!
The event has been designed by themed attraction designer Liam R. Findlay, who also creates unusual pongs for AromaPrime (responsible for smells at The London Dungeon, LEGOLAND, Madame Tussauds and Thorpe Park’s FRIGHT NIGHTS). Liam shares:
“THE EVIL ENGAGEMENT is a multisensory mystery, with live music, dramatic lighting, immersive sounds and even a seance using ‘spectral smells’! Russell-Cotes is a gorgeous and haunting setting, and to explore it at night is a thrill not to be missed. This experience isn’t rigid – guests can explore each room as they please, ask any questions they like and solve the mystery in their own way. They are welcome to come in costume (or not!), and there will also be a bar for refreshments!”
THE EVIL ENGAGEMENT takes place on Saturday 29th October, 7PM-10PM, at Russell-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum.
