Legoland Shanghai and Marina Tourism Resort pinpointed for 2024 opening

Plans are afoot to open two new tourist resorts in Shanghai.

Reports suggest that a new Legoland Resort is under construction in the northern part of Jinshan District. It is targeting to welcome its first guests in 2024 and attract three million tourists annually.

On 12 July, the Shanghai Municipal Government held a press conference to introduce the  ‘Implementation Opinions on Accelerating North-South Transformation and Development’

Meanwhile, it is reported also that Jinshan District is developing a Marina International Tourism Resort with construction scheduled to begin at the end of 2022. A five-year timeline is expected at a cost of 38 billion Yuan (£4.6b). It aims to welcome more than 8 million tourists each year.
