Tokyo DisneySea in Tokyo, Japan was announced the winner of the 2022 Applause Award at IAAPA Expo.
The prestigious Liseberg Applause Award honors an attraction whose management, operations, and creative accomplishments inspire the industry with foresight, originality, and sound business development. In 2020, the award went dark in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“With a mix of world-class attractions, exceptional shows, outstanding theming, and flawless operation this park is by many regarded as almost perfect,” says Andreas Veilstrup Andersen, President and CEO of Liseberg Group and Chairman of The Applause Award Board of Governors. “When it was built in 2001 it was one of the most ambitious park developments ever. And Tokyo DisneySea still is one of the most beautiful theme parks in the world.”
Tokyo DisneySea joins the ranks of highly-regarded attractions that have been bestowed with the honor.
