Universal to open a new theme park in Texas

Universal plans to open a new theme park in the suburbs of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. 

The park would be located in the North Texas city of Frisco but as yet has no official opening date.

The Universal Kids resort will cover 97-acre in total and will include a theme park and themed hotel.

The park will be predominately targeted at children and will consist of themed lands based on Universal characters and stories.

Various art forms in the park will pay homage to the likes of Shrek, Trolls and Jurassic World.
