Tourism photography experience company Magic Memories has announced a new partnership with the Sea Life London Aquarium in the UK, operated by Merlin Entertainments, which in addition to improving the guest experience has provided the venue with an increase in spend.

Magic Memories specialises in being a fully outsourced operating partner, designing and delivering the perfect mix of image-based, onsite and online personalised products that can be accessed and shared digitally.

The company's partnership with Sea Life London Aquarium is one of several with Merlin operated sites globally and one of 12 venues now up and running in the UK.

The Magic Memories solution provides Sea Life guests with photographic based memories of their visit in the form of an interactive photobook, a 'coffee table' story album or images that can be easily accessed and shared with friends and family via social media channels such as Facebook and Twitter.

Magic Memories worked with the Sea Life team to design the solution into the visitor flow, thus minimising queuing time both at the time of photo capture and at the sales area, while also creating immersive environments in which to engage the guest as much as possible.

Toby Forer, general manager of Sea Life London Aquarium, said: "We have enjoyed working with Magic Memories. They have provided a seamless and professional integration into our venue with staff and systems that add much to the guest experience.

"They understand how we work and our brand values and have enabled us to offer guests a quality end product that will keep the memory of their visit alive long into the future. It's a great partnership and we look forward to more new innovations from the Magic Memories team as we continue to develop the offering."

For example, over the Shark Walk, which to many can be a fairly scary experience, Magic Memories has created a beach walk extension with a wooden path that will soon incorporate lighting and sound effects and sensory elements to guide guests into the beach themed photo capture set to create a seamless, integrated guest experience.

Staff will also wear lifeguard uniforms so the whole area will be almost an attraction in itself, creating the perfect environment for some fun photography.

This 'partnership' approach also led to the design of the end product which is a personalised reflection of the Sea Life brand and provides visitors with a special and unique photobook and memory of their visit to take home.

Commenting on the partnership, Magic Memories' London operations manager Tom Shoosmith said: "We are delighted with this new, world class attraction partnership.

"We are driven to create experiences where photos are blended into the attraction environment and the products are personalised 'stories' that are so good guests just don't want to hand them back. They want to take them home. And we will all continue to innovate to further excite and entertain visitors and develop what we do to constantly improve the experience."
