Six Flags Qiddiya is making good headway with its new theme park in the Middle East and its centerpiece attraction of Falcon’s Flight.

The coaster will break multiple records in terms of its speed, height, and track length.

“The Falcon’s Flight will also be the world’s tallest free-standing coaster structure, featuring a parabolic airtime hill allowing a weightless airtime experience,” says a Six Flags Qiddiya press release.

The highlight of the mega voyage will be a thrilling ride over a vertical cliff edge plunging riders into a 160-metre-deep valley (525ft) courtesy of LSM technology. Its top speed will reach a remarkable 250-plus km (155mph). The distance of Falcon’s Flight will reach four kilometers (2.5 miles) over a three-minute journey through the Middle East scenery.

Another impressive feature will be the towering arch hill to give riders an amazing view of the park and surrounding area.

The Falcon’s Flight is being designed by Intamin with construction on the park commencing in 2018.

“We aim to launch the 6 Flags Park project in Qiddiyah in October 2024, and we will soon announce the official opening date and the business is moving very quickly,” added the park release.

In all, Six Flags Qiddiya will feature 28 rides and attractions across six themed lands: The City of Thrills; Discovery Springs; Steam Town; Twilight Gardens; Valley of Fortune; and Grand Exposition.
