Six Flags Entertainment Corporation has signed a strategic partnership with Riverside Investment Group Company, a leading real estate developer in China, that will see the development of several Six Flags-branded theme parks in China over the next decade.

Outlining the company's international expansion strategy, Jim Reid-Anderson, chairman, president and CEO of Texas-based Six Flags, said: "[We are] focused on finding the right partners in the right markets, and Riverside will be the perfect strategic partner for us in China.

"We are honoured to be working with this world-class organisation as we continue taking the Six Flags brand to growing markets outside North America."

Details of the partnership were not disclosed, however the company said it will receive royalties or licensing revenue from the theme parks using the Six Flags brand, and will send out a team to supervise construction and operation of the site to maintain appropriate standards.
