Designs for China’s Atlantis Sanya resort have been released by Falcon’s Creative Group. The Orlando firm has been working for past two years on theming and interior design of the resort’s Lost Chambers Aquarium and the Aquaventure Waterpark.

“A vibrant tribute to an aquatic world of wonder, Atlantis resorts are unique, ocean-themed destinations offering a wide variety of entertainment,” notes Falcon’s president/chief creative officer, Cecil D Magpuri.

“For Atlantis Sanya, much of the design emphasis was placed on Aquaventure Waterpark’s two main slide towers, which will have a unique style apart from the other two Atlantis locations. The towers house multiple waterslides, including a clear tube slide that takes guests directly through a shark tank. Additionally, Falcon’s designed several buildings and landscape accents including restaurants and retail spaces.”

Falcon’s also helped create elements of the waterpark and aquarium offering including rock work, landscape and hardscape work. When Aquaventure opens at Atlantis Sanya in just a few months’ time, guests can expect to enjoy rapids, tunnels and leisurely floats through the heavily themed waterpark. Scenic elements such as Atlantean sculptures and murals enhance the theme, right down to the towel racks.

“We were highly impressed with Falcon’s ability to deliver quality designs for Aquaventure Waterpark and The Lost Chambers Aquariums,” says Atlantis Sanya managing director Heiko Schreiner “They truly champion a commitment to storytelling and quality.”

Atlantis Sanya has been developed by Kerzner International and Fosun International and is situated along China’s Haitang Bay National Coast. Kerzner also operates Atlantis resorts in Dubai and the Bahamas. The Chinese project features a contemporary looking 1,314 room hotel as its centrepiece. It has already been awarded “Most Anticipated Resort in China” status by World Traveler.
