Adventure attractions specialist Innovative Leisure has completed the installation of the first Sky Trail High Ropes Course and Sky Tykes Junior Ropes Course, as well as well as an ice-themed Climbing Tower, at Northern Ireland family entertainment centre, We Are Vertigo.

Innovative Leisure's relationship with the Belfast FEC began in early 2012 when the operator became the owner of Ireland's first Mobile Zip Line fresh from its IAAPA 2011 launch. Since then, the company has expanded into premises in Belfast's Newtownbreda area and boasts an impressive range of attractions.

We Are Vertigo has opted for a Sky Trail Discovery model which consists of 10 vertical poles, linked by 17 different physically demanding rope elements. At a height of 6m, with feet at 4m, the course creates a perceived sense of danger while its continuous belay system provides total safety.

Innovative Leisure's unique design allows participants to choose which direction they wish to take and to overtake others.

With a minimum user height of 1m accompanied or 1.2m alone, plus throughput of up to 25 people at any one time, the course is suitable for children and adults alike. At peak capacity it is designed to accommodate approximately 100 participants per hour, providing a superb additional indoor attraction at We Are Vertigo.

Utilising the base of three of the course's poles is the Sky Tykes Junior Ropes Course. At a less intimidating height of 1m, Sky Tykes enables children between the ages of two and seven to take on their very first ropes course experience.

Parents are able to guide their child by hand through nine rope elements designed to improve balance and decision-making and to increase independence.

The course utilises the same continuous belay system as the large Sky Trail course above and can accommodate 10 children at once. Its addition to the Sky Trail course rounds off a ropes course experience the whole family can enjoy regardless of age.

Eager to strengthen the We Are Vertigo adventure attraction offering further, Innovative Leisure has also installed a unique ice themed Stationary Climbing Tower.

A staple of the Innovative Leisure range since its foundation, the four climbing route tower utilises the Hydraulic Auto Belay system, which has been a key element of the product's long-established popularity. The wall stands at 7.3m and will provide a challenge for four climbers of any ability at any one time.

With the centre's ski simulator pulling in visitors from all around, backed up by soft play and the exciting line-up of Innovative Leisure specialist adventure attractions, it seems there could be great success in the future of We Are Vertigo.

"Having worked with Innovative Leisure on the Mobile Zip Line, we were really keen to work with them again," commented owners Gareth and Lorna Murphy. "The Sky Trail High Ropes Course and the Sky Tykes Junior Course really fit our demographic and enable us to offer something for everyone here."

The early success of We Are Vertigo has been in part down to strong social media marketing, with the company's Facebook page receiving over 13,000 'likes' within the first quarter.

The Murphy's continued: "We're of course ecstatic to have begun so strongly with great visitor numbers and excellent feedback from many of our visitors. We hope the products supplied to us by Innovative Leisure can continue to make us one of Northern Ireland's best family entertainment centres. Innovative Leisure gave us a really professional service from initial proposals through to installation and nothing was too much trouble."

Innovative Leisure UK Sales Manager Simon Cockerill said of the project: "Innovative Leisure is extremely excited to be a part of We Are Vertigo's ambitious project. This unique centre is truly ground-breaking and is a blueprint for the FEC's of the future."
