In response to many of its guests' enthusiastic request, Universal Studios Japan has decided to continue to operate Hollywood Dream: The Ride as a regular attraction.

Since its debut at the park in March, the reverse roller coaster has welcomed more than 700,000 guests.

Hollywood Dream was originally operated as a limited-period attraction that was due to be wound up on September 30.

However, following an in-house survey of guests who had experienced the coaster, the ride attained the highest level of satisfaction in the history of the Osaka resort.

"Both the forward and backward versions of the ride, which offer ultimate thrills and screaming experience, have been so enormously popular that we have received numerous guest requests to continue the backward version, guests saying: 'I want to continue enjoying [the] ride'," Universal said.

The park achieved record year-on-year attendance growth in August and September.

"We will continue striving to offer the world's best experience, with content that generates excitement beyond guest expectations and even further increases the value of the park," the group stated.
