A 200-foot psychedelic drop tower has opened at AREA15’s Zone 2 expansion in Las Vegas, blending thrill mechanics with immersive art installation design.
AREA15 launched Eye Dropper on 20 June 2026, adding a 200-foot drop tower to its Zone 2 expansion on the Las Vegas Strip corridor. The ride combines Space Shot and Turbo Drop sequences, reaching speeds of up to 36 miles per hour and generating forces between 4.0 Gs and -1.2 Gs of weightless airtime.
The opening arrived as AREA15 reported visitation rising by double-digit percentages compared to the previous year. The debut coincided with what the operator described as its largest block party to date, spanning the entire 30-acre district and drawing thousands of guests.
Eye Dropper’s queue uses pulsing red lights, immersive sound design and surreal visual elements to build atmosphere before the ride launches. A custom LED marquee at the top features an all-seeing digital eye visible from across Las Vegas, shifting from calm to chaotic with each cycle. The structure functions simultaneously as a thrill ride and a large-scale art installation.
‘Eye Dropper is only the latest iconic attraction on our roster, but there’s even more on the horizon that we can’t wait to share with everyone,’ said Winston Fisher, chief executive officer of AREA15. ‘It’s no exaggeration to say there’s always something new and extraordinary to discover at AREA15.’
Tickets are priced at $25 for adults and teens aged 13 and over, or $20 for children aged 12 and under, seniors, locals and military personnel. Eye Dropper is also included within AREA15’s bundled Experience Passes. The ride operates daily from 11.30am to 10pm.
Zone 2, known as The Terminals, already houses Universal Horror Unleashed from Universal Destinations & Experiences, Felix & Paul Studios’ Interstellar Arc and The Escape Game. Further additions confirmed for the zone include iFLY Indoor Skydiving and the Museum of Ice Cream’s largest flagship location.
