With the arrival of winter, Parc Astérix offers its visitors a warm and festive experience. From 20th December 2025 to 4th January 2026, the park invites families to enjoy a unique Christmas season, where the magic of winter blends with the spirit of Gaul.

NEW: THE VIKING ICE RINK AND THE CHRISTMAS MARKET

Two new additions to the Viking area will enhance this year’s theme of sharing and discovery: the Viking ice rink and a new Christmas market, not to mention the new Cétautomatix attraction, voted Europe’s best family attraction. And to keep the party going, everyone can take advantage of the special children’s rate!

This year, the Vikings are not afraid of the cold. Christmas in Gaul is taking up winter quarters in the Viking zone and unveiling two new experiences for the whole  family to enjoy. The Christmas Market has been reinvented, with wooden chalets, delicious aromas and creations by French artisans, all decked out in lights and set to the melodies of Christmas carols.

And right next door, a large covered outdoor ice rink (500m²) invites visitors of all ages to put on their  skates and enjoy a convivial moment with family or friends in a setting  inspired by legendary Viking culture.

ORIGINAL EXPERIENCES FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY TO DISCOVER

Winter 2025 marks the return of several iconic Christmas in Gaul experiences at Parc Astérix:

  • On Mount Gaulois, visitors will find the Obélix Slide, a snow-covered descent to be enjoyed on a rubber ring for a fun-filled, family adventure. The most courageous visitors can defend the colours of Gaul by hurtling down the slope at full speed!
  • The illuminated trail of Santa’s Marvelous Gardens invites young and old alike to take a magical stroll through three enchanting worlds: Santa’s Village, the Enchanted Forest and the Frozen Valley. A moment of magic where you might even bump into Santa Claus himself.
  • The park’s flagship attractions will also be part of the festivities. Hop aboard Cétautomatix, Parc Astérix’s new family roller coaster, or explore the Forest of Idéfix, decorated for the occasion with garlands and twinkling lights, with five attractions suitable for Little Gauls.

UNMISSABLE CHRISTMAS EVENTS

When it comes to shows, the season promises plenty  of excitement with the ice show Qui veut la peau du Père Noel? The toy factory comes alive in an atmosphere full of humour and suspense. The show Quel Cirque! combines acrobatics, music and comedy for a colourful experience.

Meanwhile, at the musical C’est du Délire! witness the adventures of Groupidupianix and Sérotonine! One aspires to become  the most famous bard in all of Gaul, while the other dreams of becoming the  first female druid.

Other activities will brighten up the day, immersing  visitors in the Christmas spirit. Finally, to conclude the event, the Gaulish Christmas Parade will bring together iconic characters and illuminated  floats in a grand festive moment, before the final show, The Island of  Wishes, a night-time show combining sound, light and pyrotechnics.
