Efteling has unveiled plans to renovate its themed area of the magical city of Raveleijn with a “brand new legendary park show” according to a press release.
The new show will feature a new storyline and impressive show effects, featuring the current main characters. Additionally, extra features will be added to the decor in the open-air arena.
Furthermore, a new attraction will be built just outside the city wall. It will be a spinning flying experience where visitors will feel as though they are flying along with the wings of ravens.
Further additions include an expansion of the dining location and the addition of a souvenir shop. The current park show will be seen for the last time this season.
Efteling has confirmed that the renovated themed is expected to open in late 2026.
“In line with our area vision for complete immersion, we are looking at the entire area surrounding the park show for this development. The story of Raveleijn is therefore perfectly suited to this,” says Koen Sanders, Director of Product, Market, and Image.
“By placing the new attraction outside the open-air arena, we are enlarging the themed area. The park show will undergo a complete transformation. Therefore, it will be seen more often than ever: multiple times a day and almost all year round.
“Additionally, live animals will no longer be part of the experience. We also choose more environmentally friendly fire effects due to our sustainability vision. Thanks to the new show effects, the Raveleijn show will once again be very spectacular.
