Enchanted Kingdom (EK), the Philippines’ first theme park, prepares to reopen two of its most popular attractions in time for its 30th anniversary this October.
In a major announcement, Enchanted Kingdom revealed that the Space Shuttle rollercoaster and AGILA The EKsperience flying theater will temporarily close for upgrades from 1 July to 30 September 2025. Both rides will return just in time for the park’s anniversary celebration on 18-19 October.
EK President and Chairman Cesar Mario O. Mamon said the enhancements are part of an ongoing commitment to offer more magical experiences to visitors of all ages: “Beyond our steadfast pursuit of introducing new enchanting experiences, we are also dedicated to reimagining and reengineering our existing attractions, ensuring that multi-generational guests will be forever enchanted this 2025 and the years to come.”
The Space Shuttle, one of EK’s signature legacy rides since opening in 1995, will get an operational upgrade, including a new loading and unloading experience and more efficient ride monitoring – ensuring smoother thrills for its loyal fans.
Meanwhile, AGILA The EKsperience, the country’s only flying theater and a favourite among student groups, will elevate its educational offerings.
The newly upgraded attraction will further promote environmental awareness and sustainability, enriching its unique soaring journey across the Philippines.
The reopening of these rides will headline EK’s 30th anniversary festivities, which will also include enhancements to other themed areas, attractions, and park facilities.
Enchanted Kingdom provides 30 rides and attractions, including EK’s newest family thrill ride, EKlipse – the first of its kind in Southeast Asia. The park will also continue to host special events and offer enchanting new experiences throughout the year.
