Endless Surf’s ES32 lagoon anchors Surftopia at Aquarabia in Qiddiya City, delivering programmable waves at scale inside Saudi Arabia’s landmark water theme park.

Endless Surf opens at Aquarabia Qiddiya City this spring as the surf technology specialist activates its newest ES32 lagoon at the heart of the Surftopia zone. The Riyadh‑area water theme park, billed as Qiddiya City’s flagship aquatic asset, is due to welcome guests from 23 April 2026 with 22 rides and experiences across roughly 250,000 square metres. The launch marks one of the first full integrations of a large‑scale surf pool into a major waterpark masterplan rather than a bolt‑on amenity.

At Surftopia, the Endless Surf lagoon functions as a core anchor attraction. The ES32 layout uses 32 pneumatic caissons along one side of the pool to generate ocean‑style, programmable waves within a footprint of about 180 by 73 metres, holding more than 10,000 cubic metres of water. In split‑peak operation, the lagoon divides into four concurrent surf zones, allowing beginners to progress in The Shore while advanced riders access steeper walls at The Peak. In single‑peak mode, the system delivers custom waves on demand for higher‑end sessions and planned competition use at Qiddiya City.

Wave sequences can change throughout the day, moving from learn‑to‑surf programming to open sessions and higher‑performance windows, all within the same tank. That flexibility is central to the positioning of Endless Surf at Aquarabia Qiddiya City as a high‑frequency attraction capable of sustaining repeat use from both locals and tourists. ‘This world‑class project shows how far surfing can evolve beyond its traditional boundaries,’ said Cheyne Magnusson, surf design and operations manager at Endless Surf. ‘You’re bringing a true surf experience to places with no existing surf culture, which opens the door for entirely new audiences.’

Aquarabia itself, delivered by WhiteWater, is described by Qiddiya as the largest water theme park in the Middle East, with multiple world‑record rides alongside Surftopia. Endless Surf notes that the Qiddiya City opening sits within a broader 2026 rollout that includes further lagoons in the United States, Brazil and Mexico, underscoring its ambition to scale surf across destination‑level projects. ‘Aquarabia is a powerful example of how surf is evolving within the global attractions landscape,’ said Paul Chutter, president and co‑founder of Endless Surf. ‘Delivering at this scale, within a project of this ambition, requires a level of control, flexibility and reliability that is fundamental to Endless Surf.’
