Euro-Mir roller coaster set to transform with European Space Agency

A beloved attraction, Euro-Mir at Europa-Park is set to transform into a revolutionary roller coaster in collaboration with the European Space Agency,

Having made its debut in 1997 and bringing delight to millions of riders, Europa-Park has confirmed that Euro-Mir will be dismantled and completely rebuilt with cutting-edge technology.

In addition, Its signature rotating cars and distinctive mirrored towers inspired by Russia’s Mir space station have been a mainstay at the park’s Russian-themed area.

“Euro-Mir in its current form will be replaced,” confirmed Roland Mack, Europa-Park’s managing director.

“We plan to build an entirely new high-tech roller coaster in cooperation with the European Space Agency (ESA).

“The new ride will offer a space adventure for the whole family,” said Mack.

Meanwhile the new attraction will be ready for the 2028 season, featuring a redesigned area dedicated to space exploration and futuristic themes.

According to Mack, the design will integrate new ride mechanics, immersive projection technology, and narrative storytelling inspired by ESA missions. “We’re not just building a roller coaster, we’re building a journey into space.”

Moreover, the transformed space-themed area won’t be the only new themed area at Europa-Park – a Monaco-themed zone is being readied for 2026. It will become Europa-Park’s 18th themed land.

Furthermore, it is expected that Prince Albert II of Monaco will make an appearance to mark the unveiling of the Monaco-themed expansion.
