Financial Watch: Visitor spending rises at Six Flags

Listen to this article

Arlington-based theme park Six Flags Fiesta Texas has confirmed in its recent financial report that people are spending more money at all 27 of its parks this year; that is despite a fall in attendance.

Six Flags details in its financial report that visitors are spending about $81(£64) per trip this year, up 7% percent from 2022 when guests were spending $75 (£60) per trip to its parks.

In-park spending includes the price of membership passes, park admissions, food and merchandise. While attendance has fallen by 5% over the past three months, Six Flags says in the report that the in-park spending revenue made up for that loss.

Admissions make up the majority of the increase as revenue has risen 10% from figures in April of last year.
