Public voting for the UK Theme Park Awards 2026 is now underway, with organisers launching a nationwide promotional tour that aims to visit almost every nominated theme park across the UK in just over two weeks. The campaign began at Crealy Theme Park & Resort in Devon on 20 July, the day voting officially opened.

Lawrence Roots, founder of Theme Park Network, joined Crealy staff to launch the tour before setting off on a 15-day journey that is expected to cover 37 nominated parks. If completed, the itinerary would establish what organisers believe to be a world record for the highest number of theme parks visited in just over two weeks.

The route will include many of the UK’s leading attractions, including Paultons Park, last year’s Theme Park of the Year winner, alongside Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures, LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, Drayton Manor Resort and Pleasure Beach Resort in Blackpool. More than 30 regional parks are also scheduled to feature during the campaign.

The launch coincided with a visit to Crealy’s newest attractions. Roots experienced Rotor, the park’s new inverted ride, ahead of its planned opening later this month. Rotor joins Pirates’ Plummet on the shortlist for Best New Attraction at this year’s awards.

‘It was fabulous to kick off the tour at Crealy and I’d like to thank their staff for such a warm welcome,’ said Lawrence Roots, founder of Theme Park Network. ‘It was amazing to get to help test their new ride Rotor ahead of its opening later in July. Rotor and Pirates’ Plummet are both up for the Best New Attraction award.’

Roots added: ‘The UK is home to some of the most creative, thrilling, and family-friendly attractions in the world. Over the next few weeks, we want to put a spotlight on the incredible hard work of staff across all nominated parks and make it easier than ever for the public to support their favourites.’

Now in its seventh year, the UK Theme Park Awards recognise achievements across attractions, guest experience, customer service, marketing, seasonal events and digital content. Winners are determined through a 50:50 combination of public votes and scores from an independent panel of industry judges. Public voting remains open until 28 August 2026, with the winners due to be announced during a ceremony at Pleasure Beach Resort on 10 September 2026.
