Gateway Ticketing Systems’ Galaxy integration replaces legacy ticketing at the Montréal Science Centre, aligning operations with CN Tower and sharpening the visitor journey.

Galaxy integration at the Montréal Science Centre has gone live, giving the Old Port of Montréal attraction a connected ticketing and admissions backbone after years on a manual legacy system. The project, delivered by Gilbertsville‑based Gateway Ticketing Systems, was confirmed on 2 April 2026 and is positioned as a key step in meeting rising digital expectations. For operators, the move underlines how science centres and museums are using enterprise ticketing to unlock better data, smoother operations and higher per‑capita spend.

The Galaxy integration replaces workflows that no longer matched the centre’s scale or online demand. Montréal Science Centre now runs ticketing, admissions and online sales through a centralised platform that brings web, on‑site and back‑office processes together. Teams can manage allocations, reporting and product changes in one environment, cutting manual work and reducing room for error. The goal is a cleaner experience for guests and staff across busy days, groups and special events.

Cybèle Robichaud, director to the Montréal Science Centre, said the change supports both mission and growth. ‘The Galaxy platform enables us to deliver a more seamless and efficient visitor experience while modernizing our operations. This transition is an important step in supporting the continued growth of the Montréal Science Centre, while staying aligned with our mission and priorities,’ said Robichaud. Her comments highlight how Galaxy integration ties directly to the centre’s educational and accessibility aims.

A key aspect of the project is platform alignment with sister attraction CN Tower, which has used Galaxy since 2006. Running both venues on the same system strengthens collaboration across POS, auditing, IT, finance and event management. Shared tools also make it easier to standardise best practice, cross‑train teams and benchmark performance across the portfolio. For multi‑site owners, the Montréal Science Centre deployment gives a clear example of how common platforms can drive consistency without sacrificing local identity.

Visitors are already seeing a quicker, more intuitive online journey that makes advance planning simpler. As e‑commerce grows, Galaxy integration is expected to support higher online conversion and better on‑site flows. Michael Andre, president and CEO of Gateway Ticketing Systems, said: ‘This project is a strong example of how integrated technology can support both operational excellence and exceptional guest experiences. The Montréal Science Centre is an important part of the Old Port of Montréal, and we are proud to support their team with a platform that modernizes operations behind the scenes while elevating the visitor experience.’ Located in the historic waterfront district, the Montréal Science Centre now pairs its mix of education and innovation with a technology foundation built for long‑term growth.
