Hong Kong Set to Host Expanded IAAPA Expo Asia This June

Listen to this article

The 2026 edition adds a peer-learning hub, the first Asia-Pacific scholarship and a programme of offsite tours – making it the most structured edition yet.

IAAPA Expo Asia 2026 opens at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 9 June. It runs through 12 June, and for the first time includes a dedicated scholarship for Asia-Pacific students, a new show floor networking space, and a full schedule of behind-the-scenes industry tours.

More than 300 exhibitors will take the floor. Theme park operators, water park developers, integrated resort executives and technology suppliers form the core audience.

A New Approach to Networking

The Connections Hub is new for 2026. It replaces passive networking with structured peer-to-peer discussions. Topics focus on real operational challenges facing attractions across the region. The format is operator-led, not presentation-led.

First Scholarship for the Region

The IAAPA Foundation will launch its first Asia-Pacific scholarship programme at the event. It runs in partnership with Hong Kong Metropolitan University, whose attraction management students have developed projects covering guest experience, sustainability and business performance. HKMU faculty and IAAPA representatives will select the winning team. The award is presented on 12 June, and credentialled media may attend.

Offsite Access Across Hong Kong and Beyond

EDUTours offer registered attendees behind-the-scenes access to Ocean Park Hong Kong, Kidztopia and Kai Tak Sports Park. An optional extension takes delegates to Qingyuan Chimelong International Forest Resort in Mainland China.

Opening Reception

Day one closes with a reception at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. Attendees get evening access to World of Frozen. It is a networking event, not a ticketed theme park visit.

Education Programme

More than 20 EDUSessions run across the four days, covering artificial intelligence, workforce development, food and beverage strategy and revenue optimisation. Sessions draw on case studies from practitioners, not theoretical frameworks. Media registration for IAAPA Expo Asia 2026 is open now.
