Intamin and ETF Ride Systems have united for the first time to introduce an innovative new dark ride system: the Multi Dimension Mover.
This hybrid dark ride system combines the agility of a trackless vehicle with a launch section and Multi Dimension Elements of Intamin’s roller coasters.
A Multi Dimension Mover explainer
The ride vehicles provide cutting-edge launch sequences using a propulsion system at speeds of up to 36km/h, which is seven times faster than a regular trackless dark ride system.
Meanwhile, special optional interactive elements in the ride vehicles will trigger effects of shooters, pointers, selection buttons and haptic triggers.

Intamin states that the omni-directional movement of the chassis together with unlimited cabin rotation delivers a ‘dynamic, fully customisable experience based on the Dynamic Mover ride system from ETF ride systems.’ This enables a wide variety of manoeuvres, such as drifting and many more. Furthermore, an optional tilt & roll at up to 8 ° can be included to add additional movements to the cabin.
“Enhance stories and elevate your ride experience to another level with the addition of Intamin’s Multi Dimension elements, such as a Bungee Drop, Drop, and many more developed from our renowned Multi Dimension Coasters,” explained Intamin its latest ground-breaking ride technology.

“With an impressive 5-metre stroke height, these elements deliver up to 0.5G of weightlessness, offering riders thrilling moments into immersive scenes,”
Story-driven rides can now receive a transformation into dynamic experiences by adding vertical motion, launches, and immersive elements that go beyond the usual track.
Dark Rides are entering a new phase of evolution thanks to merging storytelling with dynamic motion to unlock limitless creative possibilities.
“Unlimited possibilities for creativity”
“Imagine a trackless Dark Ride, but now it can soar like a flying theatre or plunge into the depths of the storyline like a drop tower. The Multi Dimension elements offer unlimited possibilities for creativity,” added Intamin.
“This dimension gives creatives freedom to combine storytelling with physical thrills, creating unforgettable moments for riders.”
Wen ETF Ride Systems became part of the Intamin family in July 2024; while remaining a separate and independently managed organisation, it laid the groundwork for future collaborations and combined strengths, such as for the Multi Dimension Mover.
