LEGOLAND Windsor Resort’s 30th Birthday Celebrations begin this month with the reveal of a giant LEGO birthday cake and a full programme of anniversary events across the park. The 30th Birthday Celebrations officially start on 14 February 2026 and run throughout the season, positioning the resort’s milestone year as a key moment in Merlin Entertainments’ UK strategy. Since opening in March 1996, LEGOLAND Windsor has grown into one of the country’s best‑known family theme parks, combining LEGO storytelling with more than 55 rides and attractions.
At the heart of the 30th Birthday Celebrations is a 13‑foot LEGO cake created from around 200,000 bricks by the resort’s model‑making team. The structure features references to core experiences such as Miniland London, Maximus the Sky Lion and Minifigure Speedway, and will remain on display from half‑term through to autumn. The cake forms the backdrop to a new opening show, a Birthday Brick Bash in Heartlake Harbour and appearances from the “Birthday Cake Guy” character alongside LEGOLAND Boy and Girl.
The wider 30th Birthday Celebrations line‑up includes Brick Days in February, a LEGO NINJAGO celebration at Easter, a summer LEGO Festival and autumn and Christmas events. Limited‑edition POP badges, a re‑released 1996 resort map and short‑break packages in the resort’s three LEGO‑themed hotels add extra hooks for repeat visitation and overnight stays. For industry professionals, the 30th Birthday Celebrations show how a mature regional park can leverage an anniversary across product, pricing and marketing to drive a full‑season narrative rather than a single‑day event.
