A limited‑time Yoshi meet & greet boosts Super Nintendo World offering this spring at Universal Studios Hollywood and the new Universal Epic Universe park in Orlando. From 10 March to 13 April 2026, guests will be able to meet Yoshi inside Super Nintendo World as part of a wider celebration for Illumination’s upcoming The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, which opens on 1 April. At both resorts, the limited‑time Yoshi meet & greet boosts Super Nintendo World offering by adding a dedicated character interaction to lands that already feature Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach. Yoshi has previously appeared only during special events at Universal Studios Hollywood, often unlocked via scavenger hunts during Fan Fest Nights. This activation moves him into the core daytime experience, with structured sets for photos and informal interactions in backdrop‑rich corners of the land. For young families and Nintendo fans who see Yoshi as their primary “avatar” rather than Mario, the meet & greet fills a noticeable gap in the existing character line‑up.
The campaign extends beyond the meet & greet. Both resorts are rolling out movie‑inspired snacks such as a Rosalina‑themed cupcake and Galaxy Popcorn, plus limited‑run merchandise tied to The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, including a shoulder‑perch Luma figure. At Epic Universe, the Yoshi meet & greet will sit alongside the new Yoshi’s Adventure ride, reinforcing that corner of Super Nintendo World as the “family plus” zone within the multi‑land park. In Hollywood, the appearance adds incremental entertainment capacity in a land whose only ride currently is Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge.
The limited‑time Yoshi meet & greet demonstrates how character deployment can act as a flexible, low‑capex lever to refresh established IP lands and support studio release calendars. It also highlights the value of synchronising on‑site experiences across coasts.
